Under the Hive of Madness’ is a Lore, Hobby and Creative Writing Podcast specific to the shared fictional universe that makes up the Warhammer 40k game world. Goblin King, Marky, Beast and Kev aim to not only explore existing faction and galaxy wide lore; but also look at how that lore can be used in creative writing.
UHM was born from the creative soup of Cooperative Storytelling, first as little asides at the game table. But later when it came to designing campaigns, crusades and even worldbuilding sectors of Imperial Space. With hosts being huge Science Fiction, Horror and Fantasy Fans, an extra dose of grimdark is always just around the corner.
Even the Podcast’s name, is a reference to the classic horror tale: At the Mountains of Madness, by HP Lovercraft.
While a lot of our topics center on WH40k, we aim to provide a foundarion of worldbuilding and creative writing tips that can be used developing, Game Worlds, Short Stories and even full works of Speculative Fiction.
